When it comes to tank lines, it pays for the homeowner to be proactive.
If your home is more than 10 years old, it may be time to have your fuel lines replaced. Lines under the floor are usually made from copper, steel, brass or iron, and therefore when they come into contact with soil, concrete or water, there is a possibility they will corrode and release small amounts of oil.
Older fuel lines that are not visible or encased in plastic can result in releases being undetected for many years.
In Massachusetts, it is required that all new fuel lines installed be encased in protective sleeves or have an oil safety valve.
Please call Mike and Sons and let us inspect your existing oil lines and make an evaluation.
